I had issues with The Beast in Me early on, but the penultimate episode sent the show completely off the rails for me. Nile's backstory, in particular, was laughable and failed to explain his actions. The only reason I finished the series was because there was only one episode left.

I'm not surprised. I'm not a big fan of the NYSM films, but good cast + fun concept + cable mainstay = solid opening weekend.

And having seen Predator: Badlands and The Running Man, Badlands is the far superior film. TRM is a messy effort by Edgar Wright, while also sapping Glen of his charisma.
