I’m trying to think of a scenario where I’d need statelessness but would combine the access and refresh token in one JWT. Genuinely can’t think of one where I could just use a session-based auth approach 🤔

Interesting approach! Definitely makes sense for simple client-server architectures. One scenario I can think of where it’d be better to keep them separate is if you send your short lived access token to third parties for one-off operations and you don’t want them to be able to refresh it
