What about the case using the right to privacy in the state constitution? The state upheld the ban, but didn’t seem to address the right to privacy at all. Yet, no appeal to a federal court? I’m just trying to understand why other state cases have been appealed.

People in positions of power often want more power.

Serious question. Have any of these cases been appealed beyond the state Supreme Court? Or have I just not heard about them? Because it feels like the state rules on them, and that’s it, case closed.

Yes. We’re lucky that we have equity in our house and could sell it pretty easily. Both kids are adults. The younger one lives at home and would go with us. We’d buy plane tickets for the older one to visit. And yes, I recognize the privilege of that.

So when the news talks about firing probationary federal employees, the implication is that there’s a reason they’ve been fired. Except there’s not. The administration is just looking at the employee’s status and cutting them loose.

Stop blaming the federal employees.

Here’s the thing. Probationary federal employees are simply new to their jobs. Every newly hired federal employee is hired on a probationary status for 1-3 years. That’s all it means. They’ve done nothing wrong. IT JUST MEANS THEY’RE NEW. That’s it. But the public doesn’t understand that.

Good point. We always prep for hurricane season, but we’ll definitely do more this year.

Adding something that is somehow flying under the radar. Federal employees’ government credit cards were frozen yesterday. Including those of people on travel. www.newsweek.com/donald-trump...
Donald Trump freezes credit cards of federal workers: What to know
A new executive order from President Donald Trump to strengthen DOGE has placed a 30-day freeze on all government-issued credit cards.

I mean, we could just go back to the old days when no one knew there was a hurricane until the winds and rain arrived. No worries, right?

We’re going to see @thetraecrowder.bsky.social tonight, so we can laugh about the mockery that is a coup in progress.

I filed ours last week because we’re actually getting a refund, and a government shutdown is pending March 14.

It’s ironic that many of those parents voted for him, thinking it wouldn’t affect private schools. On the flip side, this will happen with public schools, and it won’t get any attention.

Yes, apparently that’s too much.
