If getting rid of waste, fraud, and abuse were genuinely the goal, they would have kept the IGs, and hired a fleet of forensic accountants to find and correct the problems with as little disruption as possible.

It was never the goal.

There's nothing even vaguely conservative about Trump, Musk, their sycophants, or their MAGA apologists.

Real conservatives would have kept the IGs, and gone on a forensic accountant hiring spree, to find and cut waste, fraud, and abuse with as few errors and little disruption as possible.
