I’m half-remembering an article about Devo waiting in a studio because Mick Jagger had to approve it before they could release it. Jagger shows up, barefoot in a suit, doesn’t say a word. They hit play. Jagger listens, then dances, then gets them all to dance, and approves the song.

I was too young when I watched “Clue” as an 8 year old and it blew my teenage mind rewatching it at 13 with the knowledge that Lee Ving was Mr. Body.

“Artemis” is a great example of your comment. Really enjoyed “The Martian” and loved “PHM”. “Artemis” wasn’t good imo for the reason you stated.

I went to one of those and embarrassed myself (for a third time with him) by trying to talk to him while I purchased his copies of “Innervisions” and “Tubular Bells”. He was nice enough to sign my copy of “…Endtroducing” as well. He’s good dude, but I turn into fanboy really quick around him.

💯 agree. I saw him on the tour for this album in Berkeley. He played the original song he sampled before his mix kicked in and it was amazing.
