#filmsky #moviesky #KindHeartsAndCoronets Never get tired of this - Ealing’s deliciously dark comedy of the English class system. #AlecGuinness got the praise but for my money #DennisPrice steals the show as the murderous interloper bent on revenge. Total classic.

#booksky I really enjoyed this subtle, beautifully written novel from the 1950s from a writer I didn’t know. #ElizabethJenkins ‘s study of a disintegrating marriage is more tragedy than love story but none the worse for that.

#classicalmusic I’ve never really engaged with his stuff but I read this book and have now immersed myself in the strange world of #MortonFeldman . Haven’t got round to the 6 hour long 2nd string quartet but I’m feeling quite positive about the experience so far…

Last year this guy (or possibly gal) was an occasional visitor to our #Sussex garden. Well they’re back and they’re trying to eat everybody else - partner just rescued a #blackbird who was pinned to the ground. #sparrowhawk . I fear carnage is in the offing. V beautiful bird though….

#classicalmusic #chopin #nocturne Op 15 No 3. It’s a strange one, seemingly in two halves with no reprise of the opening theme. Some of the harmonies are really quite nuts. Glorious stuff.
