I finished it last week and I loved every minute of it. I haven't been so emotionally invested in a game in ages. I don't think there was a single dud in the cast and they managed to copy the grit and grittiness of GoT without it becoming a grimdark mess, which is an achievement in and of itself.

It is genuinely scary how... "normal" this selection is.

Yeah, that's how I felt after reading it recently. I feel like it's held up by everything that came after it and for the fact that it basically invented the EU from scratch. It's crazy to read their Wookieepedia appearances tab and see how many times "First appearance" pops up.
