I found the original stock image and they needed to edit out the original reptile, which is why the upper hand needed to be replaced. I don't see any signs of ai, only regular photoshop stuff, like smudges on hands where the reptile legs used to be.

It is such a shame too, because Doug is capable of being extremely funny and entertaining, there is a reason I am still subscribed and watch the non-ai stuff of his, and then just chooses to use ai instead for whatever reason

at least it wasn't for anything public, like his youtube and was in the context of a private conversation, but still I find it objectionable. Also he did use it to replace artists at least once, in the chat plays dnd video he used it for character portraits, and he has enjoyed ai music on stream

He said multiple times that he has issues with the generative ai, but I honestly find it a bit hard to believe when he has a thread dedicated to people using genai and sharing the slop with each other in his discord and clearly isn't too conflicted to use video generation
