we had to put down our other dog today. i am so heartbroken and emotionally exhausted. it's hard to puppet myself around when i'm filled with so much grief. and it just keeps adding up, there's just more and more and more and more. i'm tired and i'm scared and i'm sad.

You can't cut these guys up, otherwise they grow into MORE WORMS. Yiu have to put them in a large ziplock bag, and pour salt, vinegar and alcohol on them, then FREEZE them for AT LEAST 24hrs, and dispose of the bag in the trash.
Then you gotta REPORT it to things like the iNaturalist app.

It is an invasive species from South Asia called HAMMERHEAD FLATWORM. They are DANGEROUS TO TOUCH, releasing a neurotoxin through their slime.
