I’ll be straightforward that Stoicism really helped where therapy fell short; that’s how I came into it. It gave me a framework and a historical provenance; something to dig much, much further into as a greater philosophy, which only served to circle back to the framework to reinforce it.

I appreciate your perspective on this; I came into it by way of Holiday some years back and have more or less been on a journey since, expanding out into other Stoic works (and thank you for the list).

The virtues are clearly at odds with being apolitical, and agreed that is a detriment.
