Tintin in the Land of the Soviets (1929-1930) was the very first book of Tintin series.
It is unsure if Hergé ever expressed a wish to colour them or not,but one way or another it never happened.

Moulinsart now has released Tintin in the Land of the Soviets (2017) using modern coloring techniques.

"How The Steel was Tempered" (1934) by Nikolai Ostrovsky is a soviet novel and a must read for those who wants to have atleast some kind of semi idea on Russian Revolution and Civil War and it's enduring impact on the mass.
