sometimes the people who think you're a bad person will be part of your own community. this is part of what being in a community means. sometimes you piss each other off.

when someone criticizes your ethics it's really good to be open and consider it seriously but you absolutely have to capable of concluding that after serious reflection, they're just wrong and you're going to ignore it
