If anything this conflict made total sense. Charlie's pride is her biggest flaw, which leads to her not listening to people, and a character's flaw is there either as a hrudle to overcome or to drive the plot. People hate Charlie for being "vanilla" and for being flawed, you can't win.

If we all start spamming emails to Amazon to give the Hazbin team more episodes to work with so we actually can have these relationship building episodes, we just might get what we ask for. Because so far, they just didn't have enough episodes for any of that stuff.

I don't really see it as a disservice per se. Valentino is an obstacle in his way. A lot of theories think that being in a slave contract prevents a sinner from being redeemed, so who knows. But also, by overcoming Val, Angel finds his self worth again. So we'll have to see how it gets executed.

+his friends safe, I think Angel might hold back a lot in terms of backtalk or defending himself. I've has my own fair share of wild experiences, and your nervous system is a huge mess when you live inside the danger zone. I can only imagine what's in store for Angel.

I mean it is a *type* of abusive relationship. And Valentine's has exhibited this hot and cold dynamic in the show already. But what Angel's response to it is is still a bit of a mystery. We know he escaped to the hotel because Val has no power over him outside of the studio+
