My debug lines show the trace diving straight to the bottom corner of the map, likely a world origin (0,0,0) default. Time to dive back into the line trace logic and see why it’s losing its direction. 🛠️ #gamedev #indiedev #blueskydevs

Turns out my TPS character was somehow still trying to pull the FPS weapon mesh. Separate meshes and logic for different perspectives are a necessary evil, but I finally have a weapon swap system that plays nice with both.

I’ve integrated Epic Online Services (EOS) so players don't have to mess with firewalls or ports. Right now, I'm merging that logic with weapon pickups and the FPS/TPS switching.

It was a "can of worms" moment, but being able to swap perspectives on the fly adds so much to the gameplay loop.

The hardest part was the cutscenes; translating a 2D comic book style into a 3D VR space was a total nightmare, but seeing it work is so satisfying.
