Weird timing as I'm listening to the How Did This Get Made, Van Helsing episode.

And when you do it with a tiktok/reels format video that's already going to loop it just makes it slightly confusing and awkward to share with people who aren't as used to the convention. Stop treating web video like a TV commercial trying to entice people to remember to tune in later...

What I don't understand about this "vision" of the possibilities of AI, is who thinks this has potential for anything beyond making quick disposable memes (stealing the work of others and burning rainforests to do it). Nobody actually wants to see that beyond going, "heh, neat".

I feel very out of the loop... What initiative?

There are so many examples of videos like this where some asshole steals a ball or whatever from a kid and even if you have the inclination to behave like that, how are you not terrified that it will be caught on camera and spread? I don't understand people...

Either that or a ghost of the child they tragically lost somehow. I couldn't decide between the two options. It's also a little weird that the kid in the back left is the only one with a wardrobe change in the middle scene, but maybe he just took off a coat or it's the lighting or something?

There's way too much hype for Silksong... Part of HK's success was that it came out of nowhere. Too many people have their hopes set too high and I fear it's going to let people down despite being objectively excellent, if imperfect. I'm not sure how much it's going to hurt overlapping releases.

I like how the dog doesn't move in the car but is sleeping while they're having the picnic. And I also like that Orange Shirt Child is obscured by the driver both times. Also where did the pillows come from? They clearly planned on sleeping while Mom drove.

This is a cool way to learn that you can look up a picture of Cleopatra's (presumed) signature.

There have been lots of scary moments over the last few years (and before them too, who am I kidding?) but this does feel a bit chilling in a weird way.

I got into rubiks cubes a few years ago. The absolute top of the line holy shit cube is like $50. $150 if you want one with Bluetooth that can track your solve but that's kind of a gimmick (though a fun one). Very happy with how affordable that hobby is.

I think it's kind of like that "luck is when preparation meets opportunity" saying. It's a combination of executing on all the mechanics and level design and whatnot expertly and hitting the lucky moment of release windows and influencer attention.

Some of the game samers are some of the best though, plus all the spin offs. I love game changer, I'm just acknowledging where one concept didn't work as well as some of the others for me.
August 22, 2025 at 6:07 PM
And I will, I'm just saying beyond a one off I don't know how much the concept has.

Cool concept but I don't think that super works really

What ever happened with that delayed score shark tank episode thing? Are we supposed to rewatch the episode and see that it changed now?

At least here it's a good 10° less than the really insufferable heat. I still miss the chill. I like wearing sweaters.

I worry sometimes about the dog whistles I'm missing but that's one I always clock.
