I had an amazing time in Nova Scotia last week, talking to brilliant students and seeing very dear friends I haven't seen since pre-COVID times. Here's a tiny photo dump of me, Halifax, Wolfville, and me on a coffee shop fuse box!

"In this fascinating retelling of the tale of Robin Hood, Jane Crowe is a servant whose quick judgement of character and unassuming nature put her in a position to help. But being part of Robin Hood's gang is not always easy. She is repeatedly tested to prove her loyalty. Jane also begins to realize that Robin is not quite the hero that she, and everyone else, thought him to be. Witnessing horrific torture and deception, Jane knows that she needs to find a way to separate herself from Robin, but she has just about given him her heart when her biggest test comes. In debut author Kaufman's historical note, she explains that she depicted the Robin Hood of medieval ballads, a depiction that predates the polished hero of the English Renaissance. The progression of Jane's realization of Robin's true nature is appealing to follow as she ends up in more and more dangerous situations. Readers will enjoy watching her decide if she will remain loyal to Robin or loyal to herself."
