Sorry I just need to vent about jobs real fast. I applied for some jobs outside of academia. One made me take AN HOUR LONG TEST. This was for a science communication position. The test:
-simple addition and subtraction (easy pass)
-working memory test (also passed)
-100 q personality quiz

Like I'm literally about to cry. In this paper they talk about a strain of rats they bred, indicating they didn't know the strain would be named after them yet😭 Someone tell me they found out eventually!

Don’t trust conference technology!
Luckily they got the projector working about halfway through @mattjwanat.bsky.social’s awesome talk and I think he did an excellent job making up for the technical difficulties😂
