I saw a video after posting this that Canada doesnt really have great options for asylum so you need to go the visa route but they have a lot of options for that.

Thats what I read on a description of the video on instagram. Though it does start at a strange point as if they were recording and decided to edit out what happened before he did it.

All he did was yell an insult at them. First Amendment completely ignored because of their hurt feelings. Insulting an officer is not an arrestable offense.

I live in the US. I have PTSD from stuff like this being made mandatory for surveillance purposes. I want to move to Switzerland as soon as I get the opportunity.
