It’s been a while! Life has been bananas. Quit my day job. Had a litter. They’re about to turn 15 weeks now and all are in their new homes save for our two keepers, Cypress and Jellyfish

we’ve given away 54 eggs so far and our little flock of 5 is still rocking and rolling. A friend sent this pic; top yolk is from a store bought egg and bottom is from one of our hens 🥰

Frank got me this amazing hobbity cloak from @morningwitch.com and I am so enamored with it!! The vest is a part of it! And pockets 👌 Solid cotton, nice thick fabric, and feels like a great quality garment. But most of all the ART!! 😍
Green (military green ish) cloak with embroidered white and gold flowers with thick petals and a large golden beetle with two long horns (I don’t know the species, sorry!!). The cloak is about hip length and viewed from the back. Front on bathroom mirror selfie view of the same cloak. The front corners have big embroidered white and gold flowers that look like magnolias. Up on the shoulders are two more beetles. The hood is up and the inside of the hood is lined with a floral pattern. Inside the cloak is an attached off-white vest with 3 buttons. Interior of the cloak is shown with the floral lining (mostly green foliage with the white/yellow magnolias again). The arm hole in the vest is quite roomy.

I love when people send me stick figures of their concepts! This was a commission that featured Rhodesian Ridgebacks. The pen drawing I was sent was very easy to figure out. Client was thrilled with the result!

We went to the Dickens Fair today and I ran into a vendor that I worked for briefly at FaerieWorlds in 2010. Sadly I found out she passed away but her seamstress is keeping the business alive (called Samiah’s legacy now) with all of her original patterns. I bought a cape!!

My borzoi are my biggest muse so there is lots of long and slender noodley dog art and content here. I also love dragons and funky creatures. I paint, make things out of wood, sculpt, knit, go to dog shows, play in dog sports, gossip with my chickens, and read.
