We're calling for dignity for drivers.

To mark #WorldToiletDay we're launching a new report highlighting the lack of toilet and hygiene facilities for train drivers and the impacts this can have.

As this driver said, it's degrading. It's time for change.
It's degrading and something out of Dickensian times when the workers had to do all their toilet stuff in a set time of day. The human body does not work like that.

Our four key asks for Dignity for Drivers this #WorldToiletDay.

It's not acceptable that workers can't access safe toilets and hygiene facilities during their working day.

We call on the industry to make a change now.
A maximum period of 4 hours without access to toilet facilities as standard across the industry The provision of safe, clean, accessible and dignified toilet and welfare facilities across the network Drivers must be able to go to the toilet based on their individual needs without being subject to management interference or disciplinary action All operators to provide free sanitary products in the workplace and for them to be available across the network for drivers who want to use them
