That’s why many of us refuse to call it a “civil war.”
Sudan is not collapsing on its own it’s being manipulated, funded, and bled by foreign interests.
This is a proxy war and the world must stop pretending otherwise.

Foreign states run coordinated media campaigns to shape the narrative defending their allies, deflecting blame, and disguising their roles behind “humanitarian” language.

3) Regional ambitions:
Sudan sits at a strategic crossroads the Red Sea, the Sahel, and East Africa. Competing powers see its chaos as a chance to expand their reach and secure influence over ports, resources, and trade routes.

2) The gold economy:
Sudan’s gold, much of it controlled by the RSF, fuels an international smuggling network. Gold leaves Sudan; weapons return. This war is profitable for those far from the frontlines.

1) Foreign funding & arms:
Both warring sides receive steady flows of money, weapons, and supplies from outside Sudan. These aren’t internal stockpiles they’re foreign lifelines that keep the war going.
