After playing and watching a fair bit of the patch in all 3 regions, these are my thoughts.
Not a traditional tierlist, anything in the middle 3 tiers are shiftable imo, it’s just saying “I think there’s an argument”.
‘Definitely better’ is my top 5, unordered.

Potemkin is disgusting this patch. He finally feels like a complete character, but they overdid a few things into unhealthy territory.
I feel at home though. He has his soul back, and he’s really fun.

The most meaningful experience of my life was after a lifetime of apathy, finally wanting to be good at something. It was GG, moreso, it was Pot.
I think we'll wake up tomorrow with a good grappler but I just....I can't. They killed his soul and hurt a piece of mine with it. I won't be picking him.

I understand how silly reacting to patch notes for a patch that's not out yet for a game I don't play can look but wow they probably should not have done that to Potemkin

Potemkin is gone. Kara’s were more of his soul than Buster was tbh. He’s now a clunky, low skill expression, run of the mill grappler.
This character meant so much to me. He got me to finally push through and play a fighting game, and at every single wall I said “do it for him”.

Today I got to vote for my right to exist, and as a cherry on top, for the first time I got to do it as my actual name instead of my birth name. I really don’t know how to describe how that felt. Happy today.
