2/2 The one thing that really helps in my situation is that some of their closest friends are gay and black, and I think for them, it's more of a benighted thing than a bigot thing. There is so much misinformation, and they've been manipulated. And I need to hold onto that to stay close with them.

1/2 *hugs* I hope you can find new friends/strengthen friendships w/ people who feel the same way. I relate up to a point since my parents are Trump supporters. It definitely drives a wedge, and I have to hide what's becoming a huge part of my life from them.
