Today’s grabs from my local comic shop. Was just thinking the other day about going back and getting the modern Monsterbots, so pretty convenient that they had Twinferno/Doublecross. I also got Marvel Impactor to go with the Wreckers vs Mayhem display I’m setting up

Finally bought in to the KO Takara LG Fortress. Looks great, but I was supposed to get two (one was going to be used as a base for a custom RID01 Emissary to go with the Cerebros that came with Omega Prime) and the seller only sent the one. Already sent a message asking what’s up, kinda lame

Death Tracker will find a new home since I’m confident a Studio Series one will happen eventually, but the cogless miners are great. Might even end up keeping Optimus, scarred D-16, and Sentinel as desk toys on my cocaine desk

Next up is Ultra Magnus. Is it weird to say that Bluebolts is my favorite part of Magnus? I love his super sentai-ish head, kinda reminds me of Power Rangers a bit

Optimus is so fkin cool man. Brings me back to 2001 when I got my original RID Optimus 🥹
(and yes, had to do the fix to prevent the ab piece from cracking. So far, no cracks and the ridges inside said were intact. Also missed that the arm panels slide up in core robot mode)

While waiting for the wife to finish her appointment at the hospital, ran some errands around town and picked this fella up for $30 at my local comic shop. Mainly got it for Nightstick, but a Cyclonus that doesn’t look like he’s smoked a pack a day everyday for the last decade is also a nice bonus!

Cleared out space to make room for HasLab Omega Prime. Decided to put my original pair in their alt modes and stick the original Car Brothers inside Ultra Magnus to maximize (heh) as much space as possible

Before and after upgrade kit. Still wish DNA would’ve included the new thighs from their Ultra Magnus kit, and maybe include a new head for the core robot that calls back to TFCC Nova Prime, but it’s still a fantastic kit that solves some of the problems baked into the design!
