I finally got to smell Retrospect in store. It felt lack luster until I layered it with Indigo…I mean my goodness…

For example:

PAIRS/LAYERINGS:

I wear both Nemat perfumes together on top of Nest’s Madagascar Vanilla to balance it out with sweetness. Love. 5/5

Au revoir 🥰😘💋

Nemat Amber:

I’m mean you can’t more minimalist than this. 😂 Pairs well with anything you can think of. 5/5

White musk notes:

Don’t let the wood note scare you. You smell it on application but it dries down way more musk-y? Simple, full, even. 5/5

I have two other fragrances from Nemat (not pictured) and I love oil based perfume over alcohol. Immediate rating:

White Musk: 5/5
Amber: 5/5

PAIRS/ LAYERING:

I wear Wild Poppy and Golden Nectar together and then add Nest’s Indian Jasmine oil and/or Brightest Bloom for Bath and Body Works. Smell like a deaconess with the strongest testimony for Easter service 😂

Nest Lychee Rose notes:

You know the children make up that is rose scented? I hate that smell. Smells like it with a dazzle of lychee which is pleasant. Would wear if necessary. 3/5.

Nest Golden Nectar notes:

This one inches into first place in my gourmand heart. The powder, amber and suede mellows this out and the orchid was doing heavy lifting to be included in this “floral” trio. 5/5

Nest Wild Poppy notes:

I love this one. The Rose is the first note you smell and then it mellows into the fruit and then hint of jasmine. I would argue the notes aren’t even” and that rose is the top note. 4/5 because it pairs better than a stand alone.

I bought a travel trio of Nest’s Wild Poppy, Golden Nectar, and Lychee Rose. Immediate rating was:

Wild Poppy: 4/5
Golden Nectar: 5/5
Lychee Rose: 3/5
