Mercury retrograde gets a bad rap, but it’s one of the best times for creative reflection and refinement.

Are you noticing any projects or ideas resurfacing for you already?

Mercury moves into the pre-retrograde shadow this week and I’m ready noticing weird malfunctions and synchronicities around music.

Tells me I’ll be up leveling on guitar during this cycle… but it also might be time replace my strings 🥴

Your creative vision hasn’t left you. You never lost it.

It’s just waiting for space to be heard.

I’m running a free 5-day challenge to help you reconnect with it—doors just opened today! 🔥

Who’s in?

Reminder: You are allowed to take a break. You don’t need to justify needing rest.

One of my clients said it best: I’m not working without a proper break.

She’s a boundary setting badass—which is good because as an AuDHD worker she NEEDS to be.

Winter doesn’t rush into spring—in fact where I live it often takes its dear sweet time to arrive.

Trees don’t apologize for being bare before blooming.

So why do we expect ourselves to be “on” all of the time?

Creativity has seasons, and no season is more valuable than another.

I’ve been thinking a lot about transitions—how we move from one season to the next, both in life and in our creative work. We’re so quick to want to rush forward, but what if the slowness is part of the process?

I wrote a book and I don’t feel proud of it at all but someone just told me she gifted it to her friend and he read it twice so what do I know

Creative timelines are WEIRD, and def not as straightforward as people think.

Some ideas HIT and are birthed overnight. Others take YEARS or even lifetimes to bring to fruition.

The problem isn’t *your* pace, it’s the pressure to be “on time.”

What creative idea keeps resurfacing for you?

Faith is knowing there is an ocean when you can only see the stream.

Following my own advice and writing myself a letter to open at the end of Mercury retrograde 💚

Mercury is entering Pisces, which means Mercury retrograde is almost here!

Do I sound *giddy*?
That's because I know Mercury...

❌ isn’t here to mess with your life
✅ but actually a trickster muse, here to help you rewrite your creative story

You can't pour from an empty cup" is a familiar saying, but it holds a deeper truth for creatives.

Like the rhythm of seasons, creativity flows in cycles.

Sometimes we're called to pause, to let our ideas simmer and our spirits rest.

Other times, we're moved to create with fierce intensity. Both states—the quiet and the surge—are equally sacred.

One of the biggest reasons I see myself and my clients resist showing up for their creative practices is that we expect ourselves to PERFORM…

But practice isn’t time to perform. It’s time to develop your skills and style…

Creative bucket list ✅

Being able to do a quick sketch of Thistle in my journal. I’ve done them a lot over the years but lately I feel like I’m capturing the Thistle essence more.

Me: I’ll just fix it myself.
My website: Haha, no you won’t.
Me: Ok but like… let me try one more thing.
The Universe: SIT DOWN AND HIRE SOMEONE.
Lesson learned. The obstacle is the breakthrough.
Wrote about it in my new Substack: Rebrands, Roadblocks, and the Myth of Make-or-Break ⬇️

I don’t usually get three whole hours to draw on a weeknight, but tonight I did—and I made the most of it. ✍️✨

💚 I seized the opportunity instead of letting it slip by

💚 I have a structured practice, so no time was wasted wondering what to draw

Your creative goals are totally achievable.

Writing a book is an achievable goal.

Illustrating a book is an achievable goal.

Making an album is an achievable goal.

Two of the members of my Spiritual Being container have decided to keep working with me as 1:1 clients even though they’ve already worked with me in a group for a whole year.

There’s some stuff that’s just easier to talk about 1:1… and also I know community is so important for my people.

One of the things I implemented this year was a non-negotiable 45 minute Monday Mental Reset ritual and omfg am I glad I’ve been maintaining that commitment to myself.

Living in such a tenuous environment is exhausting. Not knowing what to expect next can feel paralyzing.

This is why we need our own visions. They nourish us and feed us through dark times and the unknown.
