That way seems to be better than news feed since events get buried with the algorithm crap. If Lander already doesn't have a similar type group, I would suggest making one.

There is a Best of Salina Facebook group someone created that people post events in that makes it a central spot to just see events people share so I often go there to see what is happening and also share library events there too.

FB is the way I know about events besides ones at the library. Otherwise I wouldn't know about anything else 😕
