able bodied folks probably don’t understand — and some Disabled folks might not understand — but i’ve had medical emergencies in public and am not keen to repeat that experience sans insurance.

i am having such bad anxiety through this experience i’m having difficulty leaving my house. i take 12 medications because of my disability. 12! one of them needs to be filled by saturday. i have no idea if that will happen at this point.

the rest of the team at @outliermedia.org are also without insurance.

for the needs of Disabled folks (i’m not blaming my workplace at all — i will level blame all day at techtown for having atrocious seating with zero regard for people like me)

“community building” happens are furnished with complete disregard of the needs of people like myself. at the same time my sister is trying to get her disability accommodations met at u of m and they won’t even put a chair in her classroom for her. just subtle reminders that society does not care

(this was my pick) but if I HAD to pick another — black bottom housed the majority of the 350 Black owned biz in 1920. 22 barbershops, 13 dentists, 11 tailors, 10 restaurants, 10 real estate dealers, 8 grocers, 6 drugstores, 5 undertakers, 4 employment offices, a few garages, and a candy maker.
