That's where I'm building these days, too.

True. Platforms like this are meant to be social and conversational, not siloed and isolationist.

For #ChatGPT and #Claude if you want to be really safe, use duck.ai which runs free and private chats of these tools, as well as #llama and #mixtral

9/ Don't reinvent the wheel. Steal like an artist. Take proven concepts and formats and apply them to your niche.

There you have it. Go forth & create.

8/The algorithm needs 3-4 weeks of daily posting before you start to see compounding results.

This is not Instagram or TikTok where you can have one post hit in your first week.

Not fun, but honest.

7/ It's a good time to build NOW if you're a stronger writer than on-camera talent because writing is still the dominant format on the platform.

That will change.

6/ The people on there have the money for five & six figure retainers and are often hiring for corporations, so no "I have to ask my spouse" objections. You can add revenue streams on there.

If you want to do B2B, speaking, consulting, design, etc. it's the platform corporations transact on.

5/ The design standards are a lot lower than other platforms.

This is a good thing. It keeps the barrier to entry low, and if you're halfway decent at design, you'll stand out.

4/ If you want to grow, you need a distribution network.

Don't expect the algorithm to organically get your stuff out there.

You need to push engagement to the account so people can find it organically. Find peers of your size and mutually support each other's content.

3/ Videos are good for impressions but terrible on follower conversion.

People don't care about your personal stories the way they do on IG and FB.

They want educational content.

2/ There are a few heavy hitter topics that everyone loves:
-Leadership
-Team culture
-Career growth

Make one of these a TOFU brand pillar

1/ It's shockingly early. It's 2008 Youtube or 2014 IG.

I have a medium-sized account on the platform. Most influencers tap out around 100k. A small trickle surpass that.

Considering that LI has a billion users, there are essentially only a handful of us on there sharing. Be an early adopter.

Lack of awareness. The human tendency for complacency. Overwhelm. Varies for each person but those are the big 3

11/ You’re left out of new projects
↳ You’re only focusing on existing tasks
↳ The team talking about projects you should be in

If you get that pull, consider brushing up your resume.

What other signs should be on this list?
November 25, 2024 at 5:58 PM
9/ You’re asked to document everything
↳ They want you to prep for your replacement
↳ It’s only you that has to do it and not team-wide

10/ You’re put on a PIP
↳ The kiss of death in many companies
↳ It will be almost impossible to get promoted there
