Kicking of #2025ISMPMI on the right foot, with the mentoring satellite meeting. We had great speakers across industry and academia followed with various discussion groups. Happy to be apart of the planning committee for this! @dromius.bsky.social and Anne Pfeiffer pictured here

A year ago today, I was just getting back from Australia! At the @ismpmi.bsky.social 2023 conference I met Dr. Simon Williams and a collaboration started that included me visiting Australia and learning about protein expression, purification, and analysis with mentorship from his lab members!

Can't wait to attend #MPMI25 to hear great talks, network, and learn so much! The @ismpmi.bsky.social 2023 conference was my first in-person conference, and I went to every session I possibly could, made connections that have led to collaborations and learning experiences, and grew my own research!

After spending some time with family over the holidays, we got to reminisce on our “family “mushroom walks” around the forests near us. Some of my favorites were found by our cabin in NW Wisconsin and I thought I would share them with you all.

I’m excited to share that my first, first-authored paper is in first look in @mpmijournal.bsky.social , I hope this pipeline serves other scientists who work with fungi in understanding pathogen biology.

Hi everyone, just thought I would introduce myself here
- I am a Ph.D. candidate in plant pathology and have an interest in fungal plant pathogens
- I'm originally from Minnesota and grew up immersed in the outdoors
- I got interested in plant pathology while in a mycology class at UW-Madison
