So the distinction here is very important. There is US, and there’s white conservative men. Which claim are you making? White conservative men are about 25% of the US population.

Your point is valid. To your question of why even mention gender, it would be useful if it is a valid part of the problem statement and therefore necessary to arrive at an effective solution.

So those that blame it on women are a subsegment I’m not aligned with. I have heard plenty of people talking about the epidemic without blaming women. We just can’t get the two mixed.

So the date I’ve seen show a significant increase across the gender line for loneliness, depression, and suicidality. So that relative gap is really what I’m referring to.

I did not miss any of that. I just see that as independent from acknowledging the fact that an epidemic exists.

We can be against all that, and still also acknowledge that this epidemic exists and must be addressed.
