I don’t think they’d be too happy with either proposal I wrote this spring. One on better conceptualizing police militarization outside the US context, one on exploring the connection between conservatism and police militarization 😬😬

Chapter 9 of Jessica Calarco’s Field Guide to Grad School. The whole book is great, but that chapter is specifically about how to discuss research. Includes a time table recommendation for conferences and job talks.

I know MPSA has some mentoring opportunities, and there’s usually a first-time attendee reception. I attended both and would recommend!
