The same thing happens with housing and is why primarily small apartment/condslos get built. But instead of an extremely bad pandemic upending supply chains, it's a self-imposed restriction via zoning and poorly thought out community consultation measures.

During the pandemic, the chip shortage meant car companies could build less cars than they wanted to. So they prioritized the higher end cars as they would make more money that way. Thus less lower end cars were made, and so there was more demand for used cars, greatly increasing their price.

It's more teeth pulling than I liked, but it did help me find *what* to look for when I tried asking an LLM for supporting documentation once. I did have to keep asking because the first result did not have the information it said it would 🙃

You could probably easily make those videos of human drivers in a given area though. For example, drivers in my city are getting in accidents with the LRT way more often than is reasonable.

It would be nice if more than just Waymo had properly working ones. A shocking number of companies have fucked it up.

It's newsworthy, but there was a pretty big difference in the coverage between Biden and Trump on this front, and that was infuriating.

I think this needs to be fleshed out more. It's not obvious to me why this is bad. Like, the world isn't worse for the fact that I can more easily take (bad) photos than I could in the past.

Is a problem that people are too willing to share their creations broadly or that it is too easy?

Huh, I thought LLMs were supposed to be decent at summarizing a specific document.

And yet you didn't sign this post with it. smh

There is typically a large distance between software developers and their customers.

It doesn't and to be reminded of That One.

Though, to be clear, I'm just being snarky at the administration. I don't think the report release date is for conspiratorial reasons.

I'm suggesting they didn't read the report and just assumed.
