Oh no...

This is something I encourage everyone to do. Think critically of what content you consume. You don't have to reject modernity like I have, but you should at least think critically about who's opinions you listen to. I wager we'll all be better for it. Soap box speech over.

I have forcibly removed the negative influences of the internet and created a safer environment for myself where transphobia and political panic aren't big factors in my day-to-day, barring some anons I run into irl, and the obvious threats to my ability to get my medications.

So I replaced my smart phone with a flip phone to enforce a digital detox. It's been about 6 months since I did that, and I have slowly weaned myself off of the internet, except for youtube, which I listen to while I work. Even youtube became a heavily curated experience though.
