Tonight is the night we count every unhoused person across the United States. It also seems to be the coldest night of the year in a lot of those places. Federal funding is dependent on the numbers of people counted.

When things feel hopeless, focus on cultivating your personal sense of agency. What do you have control over? How are you taking action to help/support yourself and your community in ways you can tangibly impact? Actively choose to give yourself compassion. You still have agency, even in small ways

Rewatching the Eras tour this morning is just what my nervous system needed.

I’ve been thinking a lot about how, in 2005, I was invited to a house party to view a screening of a left-wing 9/11 truther conspiracy documentary and how, after i got that invite, I just stopped hanging out with that person.
