The idea of national or "affordable" health insurance is literally the problem.
There is no reason why the US can't have fully nationalized decommodified healthcare, beyond corporate greed and corruption. Healthcare cannot be a market commodity and be affordable. That violates basic economic laws.

If you think the US national debt means anything, you're an idiot. Not only is most of it either debt owed to the American people via savings bonds or intradepartmental debt, but the debt owed to foreign nations means nothing because the US literally owns the global economy.
