We are made up of concerned people impacted by the HERC trash burner in Minneapolis. We are done playing nice. The time is now for direct action!
6/6: Commissioner Edelson claims we should make commissioners respond if they’re not - and that’s exactly what we’re doing. While the commissioners continue to shut out constituents and refuse to meet us where we’re at, we will meet them wherever they are.

5/6: The thousands of Twin Cities residents who die from air pollution-related respiratory illnesses each year will never see their family and friends again. The county tells us to wait while the crisis continues and the air quality worsens.

4/6: The commissioners using the recent assassinations to smear a joyful protest is shameful. The commissioners commit violence every day that they allow the trash burner to poison Minneapolis.

3/6: Our visit was a reminder of this urgency and an invitation to collaboration and community input, which our commissioners have so far declined to do.

2/6: We sang songs, left messages in sidewalk chalk, and shared personal stories about the urgency of shutting down the HERC, especially as other sources of toxic air pollution, like wildfire smoke, become an everyday occurrence.
