Being serious, yes, this is a major problem in the industry overall and Final Fantasy is a great series to use as an example. I hope this image gets spread around enough that Square Enix eventually sees it.

A few days later, it’ll just become “i’m SO SICK of hearing about this game” and “I never played it and I never will 'cuz the fans”. The amount of posts complaining about toxic fans will outnumber the toxic fans like 10:1 within a month.

This is a silly cycle that has played out for decades now.

As the fanbase grows, a few weird people will take it too far or have a silly over-exaggerated take about the game's importance. This allows the people who hated seeing the happy fans to have an excuse to suddenly start whining about how annoying “that fanbase” is every time the game comes up.
