Got my Pride bonus stuff in engine, they add so much. Some examples of how the wings, poles & planks can combine to build Pride themed jumps, plus all the solid & striped pole options together

🤦clicked the wrong upload option & forgot alt text in my enthusiam earlier. Crosspole jump blueprint go brrrr (you can change the pole colours too, I added that later)

Being proud of my little wins learning to do something new and also figuring the maths out all by myself (enums to create the dropdown selection for the crosspole elements, branches & calculations for the cup transforms to match the pole ends)

I think that apart from wanting to do a bit more work on finishing the Blueprints, I'm pretty happy about my showjumping starter assets project. #screenshotsaturday

Super basic still but I'm really enjoying messing around with Unreal blueprints. Today I made one that places ground poles on a circle. Eventually I think I could make something for building showjumping courses with splines...?💭

It's been hard but I am really loving getting my head around creating blueprints for my showjumping/ horse game assets in Unreal. Today I made one that places a line of poles that can be different colours, with a min & max no. of poles in a line and a range of spacings for trot or canter poles

I'm aiming to release some free bonus texture packs for my showjumping game assets when they're done, and they're going to be Pride themed. These are just some ideas for the poles and planks in my starter pack, but wings & fillers will give me a lot more space for other designs, which is exciting 🏳️‍🌈

These Devon Price quotes were shared in an autism support thread, & I think these are very good, important points when everything feels overwhelming. I definitely need to get 'Unlearning Shame' (& then cry for a week+ like I did after reading 'Unmasking Autism')

Started to get my head around making some basic UE Blueprints today for placing premade showjumps allowing for adjusting the height of the poles. V grateful to @oadsoy.bsky.social for helping me get my head around the logic/maths stuff & general Unreal wonk as he's usually a Unity guy

Showjump pack progress, this project is very self indulgent but it's helping a lot with the motivation to be making things that I want to see more of - horse games & accurate horsey assets. I have such good memories of playing 'golden age' horse games, & also being lucky to ride & compete my own

I may be cringe, but I am free (to put Santa hats on the fluffy crew)

The Goryokaku Fort was modelled after after a Western star fort but seems to employ Japanese castle building techniques as well

Some building & texture reference from the reconstruction of the Edo period Magistrate's Offices in Goryokaku Park

I noticed when we visited Goryokaku Park that the trees seemed to be getting Winter jackets put on them (please do correct me if you know what this actually is!) It seemed like a fun job, buzzing around in a k-truck and doing some grounds maintenance

You may recognise it if you've read Golden Kamuy. The Goryokaku star fort's history is worth a look up, I can't really do it justice. It's now a very nice public park

One think I really enjoyed about Japan was how different many of the individual homes and buildings were (which these pics as a group don't really illustrate well but I didn't take pics that communicate it better because I didn't want to be snapping peoples' homes like a creep XD)

More of the Kanemori Red Brick Warehouses in Hakodate. The sunshine was lovely but I actually couldn't see very well to take pictures out of the shade because my eyes are rubbish

The 19thC red brick converted warehouses in Hakodate had some lovely texture ref

Some more views & texture reference from Aomori

I got a little bit insecure about my photos but then I'm not trying to be some kind of pro 'tog, so here's some more of my photos I took in Aomori. I'll try to post some more of the better scenic/ref & texture shots I didn't post yet from our trip

Back in the hustle and bustle of Tokyo

Ahhh wow! No we didn't eat at Lucky Pierrot (maybe next time some day) but all the food up there was amazing, we had to have crab at least once 😁🦀

I just started a new Pokemon Go account since I couldn't remember my credentials for my ancient one from back when it came out. Any folks also playing?

Hakodate is really lovely, I've taken so many photos already
