Looks great so far! What mini is that?

When I painted my untamed beasts box I also found that varying the skin tones really helped give the squad some more character. The warpaint and blood on these definitely makes them cooler. It's a good reminder that even if the model is plain, you can still add some interest with a good paint job.

To be honest one of my favorite parts of this hobby has been kit-bashing, and I've seen so many really neat bashes that include fantasy and 40k parts. I would really like to see them write and article and give some reasoning for this.

Personally I've been watching Mountainside tabletop and Can you roll a crit on YouTube. It's a good spread of casual (mountainside) and competitive/meta (Crit). There's honestly a lot of other great creators in the kill team space though. Lots of good content.

I've got a couple of Killteam squads primed that I need to paint and some minis I'll be using for Rangers of Shadowdeep that need to be primed and painted as well.

I think my big goal is to get over trying to paint them all perfectly and just do the best I can and have fun with it.

This is probably one of my favorite GW models! Excited to see what colors you choose.

Usually I end up just not painting for a little while. I always end up coming back though. I finally finished some terrain I have put off for a month this last weekend once my motivation came back. I've come to understand that for me painting happens in spurts with motivation and has long breaks.

Looking at the trailers, I'm really looking forward seeing what a (presumably high budget, at least compared to what's out there now) animation in 40k can look like. I'm really hoping they knock it out of the park and we can see more like it.
