March 12, 2020: took train to Philly for hospital meetings. My boss joined me there on 3/13 & as we were meeting got the alert that the hospital was closing to visitors. He drove me back to my car & I went to Costco to buy what I could. Had Covid symptoms 3 days later.

I’m here for all the weird old family recipes that people still make every year. For me it is my great grandmother’s cranberry salad: cherry jello, fresh cranberries, celery, pecan. I know. I know it’s weird. But delicious. And here it is going into the fridge to set last night.

Saw a (almost) 75 year old and his equally old band play a great 3+ hour concert tonight. For the last 10 years of Springsteen concerts I’ve been thinking his show are going to start getting shorter and they have not yet.

Absolutely lives up to its billing. We went for the 2019 World Cup so had a good bit of time there (5-6 days) absolutely loved it and think about going back pretty frequently. Also old town Lyon is just stunning.
