A classic a silly discourse topic because in HoI4 Germany is "the most fun" for most players because you dictate the pace, get involved in wars early, get to map paint, and fight each "kind" of war (while dodging annoying stuff like island hopping). It really isn't ideological! But alas.

I feel like it is bothWW1 and WW2 at the same time, so maybe that theme keeps going and they have like stealth bombers but still lack computer nav systems or somesuch? Gonna need a tech tree diagram...

Unironically part of why I do anime writing/research, I can't get 17-year-old level invested in a show anymore but I can get thst invested in a piece of creativity I made with the show as a load bearing piece. I love say California Crisis in a way only diving through production diaries can create.

Post Kare Kano he absolutely burned out on the anime industry, made some (very good!) live action films, and then I think you can tell that he was like "I can make good money and support my friends/industry via remakes" and glided into a comfort zone. There is a logic to it but I too am disappointed

I get that it is Austin but it is still disappointing how committed the US is not building family-sized apartment units because we assume everyone with say 2 kids simply must prefer a house. Is ofc "the system" but still sad to see it play out!

I have been reading Destroy All Humanity, It Can't Be Regenerated recently, so my advice is to pick up a Yawgmoth's Bargain deck so you can impress the all the goth girls usinggamer tags taken from FF7. But you may have to be in 1998 for this to work.

This is all about goals I think. If you want to create "readable digital books" the scanner is going to easier and more efficient. If quality of image is critical then it isnt gonna compare to a flatbed and a (good quality) camera set-up is prob best.
And ofc cost/portability is its own factor!

Yeah that is the classic issue - most/many people would rather fly, that is a very long trip. Is why you need HSR to work well, to compete with the alternatives on offer.

I really liked the idea of "bribing" incumbents by privatizating the street parking - they got those spots by right in return for abolishing single family zoning in the area. Obviously not ideal but politically could overcome hurdles.
