I have a lot of brat traits but I don't think I ever go full brat.

I appreciate the effort and honesty lol. I’ve been on a Gundam kick lately and this idea will culminate with Zeta’s cybernewtypes stemming from actual medical developments of the 1980s, and later entries like War in the Pocket will make it so that mobile suits themselves come from medical technology

I have a lot of problems with this idea but the most salient one is that I asked for little tech ideas and not whole paradigms for interstellar wars, and I feel a little disrespected that my prompt isn’t even being read and I’m just being used as a dumping ground for generic ideas if I’m honest

Again I think they would just use regular bombs on people, and for climate change why would they put the greenhouse gases in bombs?? Also seeing a tend of “special bomb where the payload is Politics” and that’s a fast way to make a hackneyed story that doesn’t get the actual politics of actual war.

I think the military would rather just use a regular bomb to the same effect. I prefer harder ideas, Memory Deleter Bomb is more magic to me and feels a bit silly.

So I've sorta grown weary of the most common form of this idea because it very easily lends itself to fascistic imagery and rhetoric. But I do like the way it's done in Evangelion, which neatly manages to avoid those problems. I'm also playing with a spin on the idea in my own fiction.

Oh boy I have to keep this short because it's a multi-way tie:

-Coaxial plasma railgun
-Programmable shaped charges like DARPA's MAHEM that can act as HEAT or EFP (see my story Countermeasures)
-Nuclear bomb-pumped gamma ray lasers
-Luke Campbell-style pulse lasers
-SATNUC munitions from Ogre

Oh I forgot to answer this last night

The funny thing is I KNOW this exact thing has happened but can’t remember the song because it mostly happened when I was younger

I've always been partial to moon rover-style vehicles. Little open-seat off-road vehicles for cruising around in all sorts of environments. I also like bigger wheeled or tracked vehicles that are like mobile outposts with living quarters and scientific equipment for planetary surveys.

So I started playing sometime in 2013. I had just made a new group of friends and they just invited me to play one day. The Founders program was still going on and I was considering buying in, but then the friend group had a falling out and I stopped playing for a bit.

That doesn’t really change my answer is the thing

I've actually written on this before, specifically in the context of H. G. Wells, his New Republic, and "War of the Worlds". The short answer: I don't really care about tropes being overdone, that's simply not how I engage with fiction. It's the often fascistic ideas behind the trope that bother me.

Once more I reject the binary. Both at the same time, and others besides (eg cyborg mechs, elder thing mechs).
In my current setting I have robo-mechs as the mainstay, but radical biotech exists in some places, so various degrees of biotech are present in various places.

A couple ways to answer this. First is that I don't actually think it's a spectrum in a lot of cases. Hard vs soft is basically a question of rigor and that can vary throughout the text. I also disagree with equating "science fantasy" with "soft sf" or placing it as even softer as a lot of people do

This question is functionally impossible to answer so instead I'll just say the first ones that come to mind: the incredibly off-scale Neue Ziel in that one shot where it's like 250 meters long and Strelitzia Apus
