this is just as much about little flourishes that make them come off like actual characters as anything else. Sell someone as a person and someone will wanna fuck them.

Thanks, doc.

That's a hell of a way to propose.

Oh, of course. It's not perfect, but at the very least it doesn't involve harvesting data. Requiring the kid to go to someone with a credit/debit card helps, too.

Maybe lock the NSFW toggle behind a $1 purchase that you can't use a gift card for?

Only problem with this I can think of is that I was using my mom's credit card (with her permission, I gave her cash) to buy games on Steam when I was a kid.

Mind, this is before Steam had child accounts or gift cards. But the point still stands.

I made a Steam group for my friends as a temporary measure. Not sure what we'll switch to permanently just yet.

They're all good, though I'd say Seven is the weakest of the series. If you've only played Origin, I'd recommend I & II. Bump combat's really fun once it clicks.

The later games are also excellent. Ark of Napishtim sorta assumes you've played the prior games, but it mostly works standalone.

You'd be surprised.

It's never too late to fix that. I recommend following the Viva New Vegas guide, or just using Wabbajack to install it for you.

...Wait. On second thought, I think I'm conflating memories. I have Crystal at some point, after I got a GBA. The game I tried putting into my Game Boy belonged to someone else, not sure what it was. I want to say it was some form of Tetris, but I don't think there was a GBC Tetris game.

Wouldn't surprise me if you could start a Color game on an OG Game Boy if you got around the key, but there'd probably be a ton of slowdown because it's expecting a faster CPU. And it'd just crash once it tried reading something out of bounds. And who knows how the Game Boy would interpret colors.

First I've heard of it. I distinctly remember trying to fit... I think it was Pokemon Crystal into my old AA-guzzling brick and couldn't because the carts were keyed differently.

I know there were Game Boy games that had color palettes for the GBC, but if it came in a GBC cart that was it.

Funny you should mention that, because I found the cat's early concept art.

That monkey in the top-center feels like something I'd see in a '00s webcomic. Or a GameStop ad.

I had a bit of experience with Linux as a kid (having a sysadmin for a dad will do that) but I've been using Windows since XP.

Then last year my PC started shutting down randomly. Thought it was hardware failure, but it only went away after swapping out the OS. Turns out Linux is mostly fine now.

I switched to CachyOS, myself. Ran into a few small hurdles, but I'm pretty comfy now that I found my bearings.

One of my favorite things about that game is that they break out the fancy cutscene shader for the one shot of Kiryu dramatically picking up a telephone so he can flirt with someone.

Microsoft's AI push has been so catastrophic that it actually convinced me to switch to Linux.

Welp. Now I know what tomorrow's BTD title will be like.

The game is Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit (2010) for those wondering. The music, on the other hand, is the Wipeout 2048 edit of Tour de France because the soundtrack that comes with the game kinda sucks.

I usually put on Eurobeat, but I felt like playing Wipeout music this time.
