cool, we always wondered about the timing of microglia repopulation when you nuke them with the plexxikon molecule. Much more elegant to kill the xl-addicted cells. The question is always "do xl-addicted cells = senescent cells?" It's a harder question to answer than it seems, at least in vivo.

Back in my Unity days we were very interested in senescent microglia, but decided to focus on the retina instead. Do you think you would get similar results with a molecule like Plexxikon's CSFR1 inhibitor, which generally wipes out microglia?
