Over the weekend, we started making hoshigaki—persimmons traditionally hung and air-dried in Japan.

Over a month or so, they will turn into a kind of sweet persimmon raisin.

Nice to see all the gay women, performative mascs, nonbinary, and nebulous queer types at the Big Thief concert last night!

If Adrianne Lenker doesn't solo tour soon, there's going to be a riot.

(I've never seen anyone get so many flowers and gifts after a concert.)

Giving a client some VALUE ADDED this morning with a botanical name correction in a non-botantical book manuscript.

There isn't a "milkweed family." Technically milkweeds come from apocynaceae, commonly known as the dogbane family.

I'm tempted to go all-in.

Who knows where we'll be in four years? But Humboldt Lilies can grow up to twelve feet tall and put out these gorgeous orange flowers.

That's got to be worth looking forward to.

I harvested some Humboldt Lilly seeds last weekend with the plan to germinate them.

Then I learned that they take FOUR TO FIVE YEARS to flower, and also require warm/cold cycles to germinate.

That is a serious native plant commitment.

I'm a shameful number of hours into Silksong and am deep into the quests. Maybe I'll do the main objective one of these days.

All the towns deserve pretty roofs, bridges, and gardens and such! Also, this is now a Sherma fan account.
