Another win for the archives. Louis Chevrolet’s car that he drove at the inaugural Atlanta races in 1909 is preserved in beautiful condition at the Indianapolis Speedway museum. What a find! Still searching for the famous Lozier Briarcliff…

As much as I’d like to say I’ve moved on to a different research project, little side quests from Buddie’s story are keeping me focused here. I’ve been trying to track down the status of the original Atlanta Speedway trophies and this week I found one. It’s in the Indy 500 archives!
