when you move abroad moving to another country is often described as exciting and brave, but the emotional cost is rarely discussed. Leaving behind family, language, and familiarity can quietly increase anxiety and depression.

When I see immigrants being arrested and deported by ICE, what stands out to me most is the racial discrimination behind it. Some immigrants are targeted more than others, not because of what they did, but because of how they look and where they’re from.
