Glen nudged the plate toward Ian. The #brownie recipe he labored over for weeks awaited its final test.

Ian scraped a spoonful from the edge, almost missing the caramel drizzle adorning the top. He took a bite & paused.

“This simply misses the mark” he said before rushing off.

first draft of a poem about time written while killing time in the cafe written on a paper bag cos i didn't have a notebook with me and there's a drawing of some kind of plant anyway here's the poem ~ there was a time - once upon - when i thought i had time left was a time when i thought that i still had some time at one time i believed that might not be a lone in time i could see i would not have a home use your time - they said - wisely or time uses you up don't be wasting it kiling it letting it drift i hear comments like this all the time. they've no meaning for when energy's gone i can not make the shift
