Still really funny logging into outlook sends you to the hotmail domain for some inexplicable reason, most likley because live.com was set as their exchange home 20 years ago and they never changed it.

There is no comparison between the London Underground and the Wuhan Metro. Crossrail is a minor improvement over decades of bad decisions.

And the Class 777s aren't bad trains either! In fact, they're brand new. It was mainly seeing it struggle to fit through the Mersey tunnel and seeing all the other ancient northens coming past it that was funny.

On my return trip to China I took a CRH2 (based off the Shinkansen E2) bound from Wuhan to Shanghai.

It peaked at 310 km/h. The train had the best food car from train I'd ever seen.

Returning to the UK, and taking a Merseyrail home, was comparativley laughable.

We love Shinkansens in the UK, and we know it's the best option!

Right?

Right...?

I think this is slightly more advanced than the blu-tak trick 😭

Did they try to jam a flathead in there or something??

Round that generation they used yee-old FireWire to do so, so it won't work over regular USB. But it is a proper block device and not some weird protocol.

All Macbooks have been able to do that via target disk mode (though maybe that's a bit cheating on the "old" part)

Yes, this makes it illegal to use federated media like BlueSky. Its possible that BlueSky may have to be illegalized or lobotomised in the UK to fit this act.

This also illegalizes encrypted communications in the UK so they can be "scanned", and makes it harder for small businesses to create any of this as they don't have access to the resources to scan literally every piece of media.

For the unaware, this code is bad practice since it doesn't sanitise the path, and even worse, doesn't open a fs.FS which could have saved me if this was a problem. I'm ashamed of myself and should not have gotten away with this. I got damn lucky lmao.

Not having a single maintainer or organisation profiteering off the software (*cough* Mozilla), and not having any proprietary underlying infrastructure (*cough* Github) and then not hosting on proprietary software (*cough* Azure, S3)

I'm baised, because I made my own solution. I think the best UX is just a transparent redirect on login.

As a citizen of the united kingdom, I can confirm 99% of our people are AIs that need confusing.

This is hardly the worst we see of people on YouTube somehow. If this is people, I'd rather robots.
